Alipay Europe Consumer Account and Consumer Wallet Termination Notice

[SUBJECT: Notice of termination of Alipay Europe Consumer Account and Alipay Europe Consumer Wallet and related services]
Dear Customer
We are currently conducting a review of and restructuring of our European business. We regret to inform you that as part of this restructuring, we will no longer be providing either the Alipay Account or the Alipay Wallet (each as defined in the Alipay Europe Consumer Account User Terms and Conditions (the “Alipay Account Ts&Cs”) and the Alipay Europe Consumer Waller User Terms and Conditions (the “Alipay Wallet Ts&Cs”)).
We are writing to give you notice that:
- pursuant to clause 9.2 of the Alipay Account Ts&Cs, we will be closing your Alipay Account with effect from 30 September 2022 (the “Termination Date”);
- pursuant to clause 24.2 of the Alipay Wallet Ts&Cs, we will be closing your Alipay Wallet account and terminating the provision of Alipay Wallet Services with effect from the Termination Date (we note that we may cease to provide certain functions of the Alipay Wallet such as top up before the Termination Date but after the date which is two months from the date of this notice); and
- all related services including Alipay Bonus and Money Safety Guarantee will also be terminated by the Termination Date.
Such notice is deemed to be served on the date of this email.
Please note that the closure of the Alipay Account will not affect your ability to bind a card to your AliExpress Account. You will still be able to bind a card to your AliExpress Account to use as a payment method on AliExpress.com, such service to be offered by an affiliate of Alipay (Europe) Limited, S.A. (“Alipay Europe”). Please note that your card data will be transferred by Alipay Europe to Alipay Singapore E-Commerce Private Limited.
If you have also opened an Alipay Wallet and to the extent that you have any remaining funds in your Alipay Wallet account, you must withdraw these prior to the Termination Date. Please arrange for the withdrawal of such funds to a bank account in your name before the Termination Date, after which your account will be closed. We reserve the right to conduct further checks to validate such details before processing the withdrawal.
Please note that if you request a refund after the Termination Date for any previous payment transaction you made on AliExpress.com using your Alipay Wallet Balance, such refund will be issued to you in a form as AliExpress.com may decide from time to time, which may include an AliExpress coupon.
