Product flow

The figure depicts the work flow of the Transaction QR Code Payment solution. Specifically,

Product flow

  1. A customer is approaching the cashier to pay for the purchased items;
  2. The cashier will place an order in ECR Terminal for the items;
  3. The ECR system will send a request to the Merchant Server/System Integrator to create a pre-order;
  4. The Merchant Server/System Integrator will transmit the request to Alipay;
  5. The response message contains URLs that linking to the generated QRCode in different sizes.
  6. The Merchant Server will download the QRCode picture and pass it to the ECR Terminal;
  7. The ECR Terminal will display it on the screen for the customer;
  8. The customer then scans the Transaction QR Code to complete his/her payment;
  9. The Alipay system will asynchronously send a notification to the ECR Terminal via the Merchant Server/System Integrator if the payment is successful.      

To enable a merchant for running the Transcation QR Code Payment, it needs to integrate the merchant’s server with the Alipay system. This integration should develop the service to meet the merchant as well as the customer’s business requirement, as described in the next sections.
